Penny Wars!

Our great war of change (as in pennies!) ended Thursday, and the winner is...Mrs. Serafin's class! In this battle, students put pennies in their own class's jar (each counts for one point) and dropped silver change in the other classes' jars (each subtracts its value in points). The class with the lowest amount wins (pennies - silver change). Student Council uses the earnings each year to contribute something special to the school as a gift from their year. This year, the student council wants to buy something for our new campus - maybe some trees to shade the new classrooms! Our students participate enthusiastically each year in this special class competition, and always feel good about their contribution to the school.
